She Teams of Hyderabad City Police have caught six persons, including four minors for teasing women in two cases in the City.
In the first incident, one K. Praveen Kumar, 27, of Shaikpet was arrested for stalking a woman since two months. Police said, he was regularly waiting at a bus stop near S.R. Nagar and stalking her and telling her “I love you and want to marry you” repeatedly and following her on the way to college on a bike. Based on a complaint from the victim, Praveen Kumar was arrested at Chermas, Ameerpet by the SHE teams.
In the second case, during the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations on June 7, five persons, including four minors were standing near Lumbini Park. A couple was also standing in front of them. The boys were playing with a lemon which hit the lady.
When the victim’s husband questioned them about their mischievous act, the boys abused him and followed the couple to some distance. Then the man posted the matter on the SHE Team face book page along with the bike number. Based on the bike number and confirmation by the victim and her husband, a petty case was booked against Chinna Kondal Rao, 22, a driver of Khairatabad. He was arrested and being produced in the court concerned. The four minors were given counseling not to repeat such incidents in future.
