The She teams and Cyber Crime Police, CCS, DD, Hyderabad arrested a person, named Mohd Sameer, who had sent abusive/obscene/vulgar and threatening messages through WhatsApp and SMS and degraded the Victim’s and her family members character and also for further commission of stalking offence/ Nirbhaya.
Facts of the case are that on May 22, police received a complaint from the father of the victim stating that his daughter was being harassed by one person, resident of Towlichowki, since one year. He trapped her with his sweet talk and took her phone number and her FaceBook ID and used to chat with her regularly, without their knowledge. Slowly he made friendship with her and they both moved together. Later he proposed to her but his attitude of being over possessive and doubting nature was firmly rejected by his daughter. From Jan 2015, she kept away from him. Since then he is sending abusive and obscene messages to her father’s cell number from his cell Number. He used send her vulgar / abusive messages to her over mails and on FaceBook. He even threatened him and his daughter of dire consequences.
The arrested person Mohd Sameer, while studying in Intermediate he trapped the victim in the name of Love and chatted with her over phone, mails, WhatsApp and on FaceBook without the knowledge of the parents. But, in the month of Jan 2015, the parents came to know and they requested/warned both, and even took the matter to the notice of the local police not to talk and meet again. But the accused, never took it seriously, in order to keep in contact with the victim, the accused gave her a mobile for chatting on WhatsApp regularly, without the notice of the parents.
SHE team and a cyber team lead by Inspector P. Raju, SI U Madan Goud, PCs Shekhar and Rajender, have cracked this case and apprehended the accused, under the supervision of Swathi Lakra, Addl.
