The Telangana State Haj Committee has so far received about 8,000 applications for Haj 2015.
According to SHC Special Officer Prof SA Shukoor, while 8,000 applications were received from across Telangana State, as many as 753 applications have been received from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. He said special counters have been set up at the Haj House at Nampally to distribute, fill and submit the application forms. He appealed to the Haj aspirants to submit the form and prescribed fee on or before February 20, the last date for receipt of applications. He said that the aspirants should avoid last minute rush and inconvenience by applying well in advance.
Prof Shukoor said that the Union Bank of India has opened a special counter at the Haj House for the convenience of Haj aspirants. The applications forms can also be downloaded from the website www.hajcommittee.com and the SHC would also accept their xerox copies. He said that the applicants need to bring two copies each of Passport and other mandatory documents.
