Sharmila’s padayatra enters second day

YSR Congress party leader Sharmila’s “Maro Praja Prasthanam” padayatra entered second day on Friday.

After having the night halt at Bhoomayyagaripalle after the first day of her padayatra on Thursday, Sharmila started her walkathon from the outskirts of Vempalli at about 9.30 am on Friday. Addressing a gathering at Vempalli, she alleged that ongoing energy crisis in the State were due to State Government’s lack of foresight. Stating that while all sections of the society were affected due to the power crisis, she said farmers were badly hit. She claimed that the welfare of farmers was the top priority of her late father and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Sharmila said the people would be forced to face such problems in future if they continue to believe the Congress or Telugu Desam Party.

Sharmila’s padayatra passed through Rajiv Nagar Colony, Nandipalle, Thallapalle, Musal Reddygaripalle, Duggannagaripalle, Ammayyagaripalle and V Kothapalle. She also interacted with students in Nandipalle.
