YSR Congress party leader Sharmila will cover seven assembly constituencies in Mahabubnagar district as part of her “Maro Praja Prasthanam” padayatra.
Sharmila will enter Mahabubnagar district on Nov 22 beginning her Padayatra in the Telangana region. She will walk a distance of 225 km in the district. Padayatra coordination committee member Talasila Raghu Ram, Mahabubnagar district party convener Krishna Reddy and party Central Governing Council (CGC) member K Mahendar Reddy told reporters here that Sharmila would enter into the district at Tungabhadra Bridge around 1 pm and set off her walkathon.
After covering Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts, Sharmila will lead her Padayatra into Guntur and Krishna districts before entering Khammam district in Telangana again.
Sharmila began her Maro Praja Prasthanam on October 18 at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district, entered into Kurnool district on November 8 after completing her Padayatra in YSR and Anantapuram districts. Raghuram said Sharmila would complete the scheduled distance of 200 km in Kurnool district on Thursday. “Mahabubnagar district people are waiting to extend a hearty welcome to Sharmila when she makes her entry,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sharmila completed walking a distance of 463.6 km by the end of Wednesday’s padayatra. (INN)
