YSR Congress party leader and sister of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan, Sharmila, has been admitted to the Apollo hospitals at Jubilee Hills here today, as she complained of severe pain in her right knee, during her padyatra in Rangareddy district. Doctors were planning to perform a surgery in a day or two on her.
Speaking to the media here Dr. Somasekhar Reddy of the Hospital revealed that Sharmila has to undergo surgery because her knee joints got damaged due to the Padyatra and restlessness. He said that after the surgery, her knee would be under bandage and should need total rest for at least three weeks.
Sharmila has so far completed padyatra for 57 days covering 822 kilometres in 24 Assembly constituencies in Cuddapah, Anantapur, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar districts. (NSS)
