State CPI leader Ramakrishna here on Thursday accused YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan’s sister Sharmila of launching the “Maro Maha Praja Prasthanam” padayatra with the sole intention of making her brother, who was cooling his heels in the prison, chief minister of the State, but not to solve burning problems of the toiling masses.
Speaking to mediapersons, Ramakrishna said that Sharmila’s attempt to make Jagan, who was arrested by the CBI and remanded to judicial custody in connection with his Disproportionate Assets Case, was the fine example of political bankruptcy. He lamented that the present-day politicians were not hesitating to go to jails after amassing huge wealth by illegal methods thinking that they could become chief minister easily with the tainted money power after returning from prison.
The CPI leader has cautioned the masses to realize the “ill-intentions” of these corruption monsters and cut them to size, otherwise the future of the State would be in great peril. (NSS)
