YSR Congress leader Sharmila continued her tirade against the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu as she entered Raptadu constituency from where Paritala Sunita has been elected to the Assembly, on Tuesday afternoon.
Sharmila has also criticized the Congress for joining hands with the TDP as it was unable to face her party. Alleging that Babu had no interest on people’s problems, Sharmila said if he had, he would have definitely moved a no-confidence motion against the Congress government. She said the very fact that he was not moving that motion
though administration had become totally defunct itself showed that both the parties had colluded. She has also charged both the parties with conspiring to send her brother Jagan to jail. Stating that Jagan was for the people, Sharmila said he had undertaken fasts even when he was suffering with 103 temperature, as he was worried about the plight of the people.
Reminding the people that her late father Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had undertaken several welfare schemes for the people, Sharmila has alleged that the present Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was diluting all those schemes. She said Abhaya Hastam was one of the great schemes implemented by her father. She told the people that Jagan should come to power if YSR’s schemes were to be implemented. She said if the YSR Congress came to power many more welfare schemes would follow. She has also assured that handloom workers would be given pensions if they cross 50 years of age.
MP Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy, MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy and other leaders accompanied Sharmila.
