Sharjah Transport adds new stops on Dubai routes

Sharjah, March 31: The Sharjah Transport has added more bus stops and sales posts to its three major bus routes towards Dubai, as of today.

Adel Khalil, Manager of the Sharjah Intercity Transport, said the amendments span the launch of new spots for loading passengers and selling tickets on bus route No113, which connects Sharjah and Al Qusais, and bus route No308 which starts from Sharjah and ends at Jebel Ali and Al Quoz.

He said the changes are only applicable to trips towards Dubai and not to return trips. New pick-up points will be at the Mulaiha, King Faisal, and Union roads.

Five bus stops have been set at Mulaiha road for bus route No113 connecting Al Jubail bus station and Al Qusais. “These stops are on the first Industrial Road, the third Industrial Road known as GNB, 10th Industrial Road or Gico, 11th Industrial Road or Bin Laden Roundabout, and 15th Industrial Road commonly identified as National Paints Roundabout.”

Khalil then said two more stops would be introduced on King Faisal Road for bus route No308 from Al Jubail station to Jebel Ali and Al Quoz. These are at Adnoc petrol station and E-Max. “Three other stops have been added at City Centre, Max and Al Khan Bridge for the same bus route.”

Meanwhile, some changes have been introduced to the Sharjah International Airport-Dubai bus route No111. “A new stop has been added at Deira area in Dubai. The shuttle service is now available at the Sajaa area, Sharjah International Airport and 5th Industrial Square in Sharjah, as well as Al Qusais, Dubai Metro Station and Deira stop in Dubai,” he said.Saeed Abdallah, Head of Corporate Communication at the Sharjah Transport, said that the Sharjah Transport spares no effort in encouraging public transport and providing a convenient and fast shuttle service. “The corporation is now operating 124 vehicles on its 15 intercity public bus routes.”
