The Hyderabad Retired Engineers’ Association has advised the Andhra Pradesh government to share the Krishna Waters from Nagarjuna Sagar Project as per the Bachawat Tribunal Award and leave the remaining water to the State of Telangana.
Speaking to mediapersons, Hyderabad Retired Engineers’ Association president Dr Bheemaiah said as per the provisions of the Bachawat Tribunal Award, the Krishna Delta has no right over the Sagar waters. He also alleged that the AP government was utilizing 200 tmc of water without any permission and in violation of the rules. In fact, the AP government has right to utilize only 25 tmc of water.
