Washington: Guillermo del Toro’s fantasy romance ‘The Shape of Water’ is walking away with four wins, including Best Picture and Best Director at the 23rd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards.
This year, it led the film nominees with 14 nominations.
The official Twitter handle of the film posted, “Congratulations to @RealGDT and #TheShapeofWater team on receiving 4 #CriticsChoice Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Score and Best Production Design!”
While accepting the Best Picture honour, filmmaker del Toro praised the women who made ‘The Shape Of Water’ possible, including stars Sally Hawkins and Octavia Spencer, reports the Entertainment Weekly.
The awards were handed out at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, with Olivia Munn hosting.
