Famous Tamil Films Musician, Ilaya Raja’s youngest son Shanker Raja embraced Islam. He informed his decision to accept Islam on his Twitter. He said that his family members also supported his decision.
It is understood that he wants to marry a Muslim Girl. He already has two wives. He is 34 years old and he has composed music for 100 films. His 100th Tamil film is “Biriyani”. When his father got the news of Shanker Raja’s acceptance of Islam, he was wonderstruck. He married his long time lover Shajaya in 2005 but got separated in 2007. He married another girl in 2011 by name Shilpa. Even this matrimonial relation could not last long. It is reported that he had already embrace Islam a year before after the death of his mother. He clarified that he did not accept Islam following the footsteps of A.R. Rahman. It was his inner voice which forced him to take shelter under the umbrella of Islam. He regularly offers prayers 5 times a day.
