Hyderabad, July 23: The CLP deputy leader, Dr P Shankar Rao, has faxed a letter to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and the UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi, pleading for their intervention to sort out the Babli project row between Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Thursday, Dr Shankar Rao said that the Maharashtra government was constructing about 14 projects across the Godavari river and utilising 102 tmcft of water illegally at the cost of the Telangana region.
Replying to a query, Dr Shankar Rao, said that though the TDP senior leader, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy was a good person by nature, he used vulgar language against the Chief Minister in a fit of ill-temper.
