Former Minister P Shankar Rao today slammed the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s comments that the Congress failed to do justice to Seemandhra through bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office here, he said that the BJP should refrain from carrying on false propaganda against the Congress. Accusing the Telugu Desam Party and BJP of colluding for political mileage, he alleged that YSRCP also was resorting to mindless tirade against the Congress which is wrong. He opined that the people will teach these parties a fitting lesson in the coming elections.
Shankar Rao said that the BJP will not get the minorities votes in the elections as they are with the Congress. He appealed to the minority communities to vote against the BJP as it plays ‘communal politics’. He expressed happiness over the Assent given by the President Pranab Mukherjee to Telangana Statehood bill. Rao also invited the President Rule in the state as election notification is expected shortly.(NSS)
