Shankar asks Kiran to quit at once

Former minister and Congress MLA Dr P. Shanker Rao on Monday dared Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to quit his post immediately and continue to make statements freely.

Speaking at the Assembly mediapoint on Monday, Dr Shanker Rao said within minutes after the Telangana Bill was passed by Parliament, Kiran KImar Reddy would automatically lose his post. He challenged Kiran Kumar Reddy to resign from his post before passage of the Telangana Bill by Parliament. He said Kiran Kumar Reddy would be soon sent to Chanchalguda jail.

Dr Shankar Rao alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy has shown his arrogance once again on the occasion of presenting vote-on-account budget. He pointed out that Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy completed his budget speech in eight minutes and failed to read full text of 32-page budget speech copy. The vote-on-account was not properly presented in the House by the government, he regretted.

Stating that the Assembly resolution rejecting the Telangana Bill had no validity, Dr Shanker Rao said the Telangana Bill would be passed by Parliament within two-days. (NSS)
