Melbourne : Though pictures are saying a thousand words, former Australian cricket star Shane Warne recently denied reports of being ‘smitten’ with a new girlfriend.
Taking to Twitter, the 46-year-old former spinner hit back at his critics in a bid to get his relationship status straight, reports News.com.au.
“Never complain or never explain, but FTR I am very very single,” Warne posted.
“Not seeing anyone. Facts straight please u silly reporters!” he added.
For the uninitiated, Warnie was snapped getting kissed on the neck by a blonde babe outside a London nightclub. They were also clicked sharing a cigarette and getting quite intimate.
Soon news went on air that the blonde is the cricketer’s new girl, who he is “totally smitten” with.
This is the second time in a matter of months that Warne had to extinguish rumours around his personal life.
It was last month that he was caught on camera outside Brynne Edelsten’s apartment at 1a.m. with claims that he was there for a late night hook-up.
Warne, however, denied the accusations in a string of posts on Facebook and Instagram.
“Some people never cease to amaze me. Listen to this one,” he wrote on his official page.
“After a fun night raising money for breast cancer in Geelong last night, me & a few friends plus Brynne Edelsten went out for a couple of drinks. Brynne then invited me back to her place around 1am for a nightcap, when I arrived, paparazzi were conveniently waiting outside her home to get the pic, coincidence? I left instantly and thought how sad is that!” he added. (ANI)
