Shamshan Ghat on 6000 sqyd land of Toli Masjid at Karwan

The total bequeathed land of Toli Masjid recorded in State Waqf Board is 27 acre 30 gunta and 18 sqyd. Toli masjid is located at Karwan. The present market rate of the land can go upto Rs. 300 crore. But unfortunately Muslims themselves are trying to sell off almost all the property. When United Peace and Social Welfare Development Committee undertook the task of protecting the Waqf property the ‘traders of the land’ got jittery and started threatening the committee members.

On the representation of United Peace and Social Welfare Development Committee, chief executive officer State Waqf Board sent a letter vide FNO-55/Hyd/prot/2011 to Commissioner GHMC, Zonal Commissioner GHMC, deputy Commissioner GHMC, chief inspector Auditor circle no 4, Circle inspector Kulsoompura and revenue office Asif Nagar directing the concerned officials to demolish illegal construction of the said Waqf land.

Emboldened by the criminal negligence of State Waqf Board, the land grabbers handed over 6000 sqyd land to local non-Muslims for Shamshan Ghat. Mr. Osman Al Hajari informed that 22.30 acre land of Toli Masjid has been encroached upon and several temples have been constructed on the land.
