Shamshabad Police arrested 25 year old youth for molesting two women

Hyderabad: Shamshabad police arrested a 25-yr-old youth who pretended to be mentally unstable, for molesting two women on Tuesday.

A native of Kurnool, Syed Rasool pretended to be mentally unstable so that he doesn’t get caught for his crimes. Mohammed Ahmed Pasha, Sub Inspector of Police said “At 2 pm on Tuesday, he began following a woman, identified as Md Begum, near Pedda Shapur. Rasool called the victim and embraced her and then started forcing himself on her. She had to hit him with a stone to escape. After the attack, Rasool ran away”.

Fleeing the scene after being attacked by Begum, he tried molesting another woman identified as Padma, whom he came across after running for half a kilometer. The Sub Inspector added “He dragged her behind a clump of trees and tried to force himself upon her. Hearing her screams, two passersby who were traveling on a bike stopped their vehicle and dialled 100”.

Syed pretended to be mentally unstable when the Police arrived on the scene.

The accused is now under Police custody was booked under sections 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 376 (punishment for rape) and 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and shall be produced before the court for judicial remand on Wednesday Times of India reported.
