Shamsabad Airport raises User Development fees from 1st June

Hyderabad: Passengers travelling abroad have now to pay Rs. 1955 whereas for domestic travels Rs. 495 would be collected. These charges are higher than any airport in India. This increase would affect the Hajj Pilgrims also.

It may be mentioned that Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamsabad has been constructed on Wakf land. Earlier, at the instance of Govt., 50% concession used to be given to Hajj pilgrims. MPs of Telangana State should make a representation to Union Ministry of Civil Aviation for continuing this concession.
