New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has failed to fulfil his poll promise to regularise unauthorised colonies in the national capital and it’s a matter of shame, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said on Monday.
“It is shameful that the Kejriwal government has not done anything for them till date.
“No work has been done to regularise these unauthorised colonies since approved by the Centre,” President of BJP’s Delhi unit Manoj Tiwari said.
Addressing thousands of villagers at “Dehat Samvaad” (rural dialogue) near Najafagarh, Tiwari said his party would develop Delhi into a cosmopolitan city as desired by PM Narendra Modi if it comes top power in the next elections.
The heads of 360 villages, among others, attended the event in Dhansa village.
The BJP PM from the Northeast Delhi constituency also assured the farmers that he would raise the issue of crop loss claims with the related departments.BJP PM from the Northeast Delhi constituency also assured the farmers that he would raise the issue of crop loss claims with the related departments.
“We shall seek the intervention of Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung in the matter of agricultural power tariff hike,” IANS quoted Tiwari as saying.
He said the problem faced due to November 8 demonetisation is temporary and the farmers and labourers would be its biggest beneficiaries in near future.
Tiwari was appointed the new chief of the Delhi BJP on November 30.
