Shame: Hyderabad-Rising city in cold-blooded murders; ‘Jealousy’ behind Mirchowk Murder

Hyderabad: Gruesome murders in broad daylights in city limits, busy roads is likely becoming a usual site these days in Telangana State with city Police taking no stringent actions against mobs, perpetrators breaking the law and order in the city.

Once a city only known for petty crimes is now becoming a rising city in brutal crimes and that too on state Police’s watch.

The recent gruesome murder reported from Hyderabad City limits where an auto rickshaw driver-cum-butcher was butchered to death by his friend Mohammed Abdul Kaja.

According to Mirchowk police, the duo including the victim and the accused both had an argument just a day before the murder too.

The police investigations revealed the accused left his residence at Chanchalguda at 6.30 pm and had consumed alcohol.

He later called the victim to talk about petty disputes but after strictly interrogating the accused confessed his motive to the gruesome murder and that was Jealousy.

“The accused Kaja was jealous that the victim has four auto rickshaws while he owns only one auto rickshaw. Both the victim and accused ply their respective autos on the same route everyday between Saroornagar and Nayapul but Qureshi is more successful and also has another source of income from mutton shop business,’’ Mirchowk Inspector K Srinivasa Rao told TOI.

The victim had employed their common friend Aneeq at his mutton shop which the accused did not give his consent to.

The victim’s intensities came out of his body due to the brutal stabbing said the Forensics at Osmania General Hospital (OGH).

The victims also suffered multiple injuries on the neck and chest as he was slaughtered like an animal by the drunken accused.

The accused was later arrested on Thursday by the Mirchowk police and was produced in a local court.

He was then sent to judicial remand.
