Shambhu Lal killed Afrazul to hide his illicit relations, to emerge as hero among hardcore Hindutva groups

Jaipur: Police has made key revelations in connection with the brutal killing of Afrazul Islam a labour belonging to Bengal. Accused Shambhu Lal was trying to become hero among hardcore Hindu outfits by painting the incident as love-jihad but in fact it was the case of illicit relationship which he wanted to conceal. Shambhu thought that if the incident came to light, it will be disgraceful for him. Fearing this he hatched a plan and killed Afrazul. He also made the video to avoid any suspicion. He chose a helpless and vulnerable contractor to execute his pan.

Rajasmand police told that they had also talked to girl’s mother, who admitted that Shambhu Lal had kept the girl in a rented house in Rajasmand for 10 months. Girl’s mother told that they didn’t complain to the police fearing disgrace.

During interrogation the girl also revealed that Shambhu Lal was harassing her. Shambhu Lal hatched the plan to divert people’s attention from his sinister act. Police also grilled Shambhu’s mother, neighbours, girl’s mother and others. All the sources disclosed that Shambhu Lal had illicit relations with a girl.

According to a senior officer, the accused wanted to create terror by doing something by which he can become hero in the eyes of hardcore groups. He called Afrazul to show the site where he allegedly wanted to begin construction.

On the fateful day Afrazul had breakfast with his family members. His nephew Jahangir told that after breakfast Afrazul told that he was going to Pandia where construction work would soon begin on a site.
