New Delhi, June 10: Anurag Kashyap’s Shaitan is an out-of-the-box thriller with the actors shedding all their inhibitions and doing whatever it takes to give the film that extra edge. Here’s what the cast and crew of the fare had to say about the film.
A ‘moment’ that changes everything in the youngsters’ life. “Shaitan is an attempt to eradicate poverty in our lives (laughed). It’s the most stylish film I have ever seen in Indian cinema, better than any film I have made. It’s a thriller, like a chase, about five guys who do something wrong and try to cover it up. Your hair will stand when you see it. I’m so confident about the movie as it will be the first of its kind experience for everyone,” said Shaitan’s producer.
Kalki on kissing co-star
Kissing her co-actor Kirti Kulhari has left Anurag’s wife traumatised. “I’m still recovering from the trauma of it. I have been going to a psychiatrist. I’m going for marriage counseling and trying to get out of it. It’s tough being an actor as we have to do these things. It’s terrible with the kind of demands the directors have,” said the Dev D star wittily.
However, Kirti doesn’t agree with Kalki, “Kissing Kalki was the most beautiful moment of the film. I was very apprehensive at first but once I did that, I have started doubting my tendencies now (laughed).”
Boys gone wild
While girls have gone bold, boys are not far behind. They’ve also shed their inhibitions for a steamy scene. Shiv Pandit and Neil Bhoopalam too got the opportunity to engage in a kiss. “I had to kiss Neil but he has taken this kiss rather seriously. He’s been sending me gifts. I told him it’s over and it was just a one time thing but his heart is broken,” Shiv joked.
Heartbroken actor Neil was quick to respond, “He has stopped replying to my messages. I thought we were going to get married.”
