The Minister for Legislative Affairs Dr S Shailajanath on Tuesday suggested that the days of the winter session of the Legislative Assembly be extended to facilitate all the members to express their views on the draft Telangana Bill.
The Minister made the request when the Deputy Speaker Mallu Batti Vikramarka, who was in the chair, said that 118 days were required for debate, if two hours time was allocated to each of the remaining members.
Dr Shailajanath said that that the House was debating a very crucial issue, and time of the winter session was not enough for all the members to talk on the Bill. He asked the Chair to examine the possibility to extend the days of winter session. (NSS)
