Shaik Abdul Khaja exonerated by court in fake Pakistani Passport and Currency cases

First Addl. Metropolitan Magistrate of Nampally Criminal Court exonerated Shaik Abdul Khaja, alleged South India Commander of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba in fake Pakistani Passport and fake Indian Currency cases. Special Investigation Team had arrested him on 1st February, 2010 and had seized Pakistani Passport in the name of Mohammed Farhan, Pakistani ID Card and fake Indian currency. SIT filed a chargesheet on 17th June, 2010 in the court alleging that Khaja got training of operating weapons in Karachi and he had persuaded many youths for getting military training. Police had also claimed that Khaja had travelled to Saudi Arab, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on Pakistani Passport. In the confession statement given to police during interrogation, Khaja had stated that Amanullah Faracha alias Khuda Baksh who was linked to ISI of Pakistan had given him fake Indian currency worth Rs. 50 thousand.

Criminal Lawyer, Mr. M. A. Azeem, during the hearing of the case had claimed that the Pakistani Passport seized from Khaja is fake and his client had nothing to do with it. SIT had also claimed that Pakistani passport was seized from at Secunderabad Railway Station which proved false. The court therefore exonerated him. It may be noted that SIT implicated him in bomb blast case at Task Force Office occurred on 12th October 2005. Khaja will be in prison since he is an accused in the above case. It is alleged that in connivance with Mohammed Abdul Shahid, alias Shahid Bilal of Bangladesh had blasted the bomb in Task Force office .
