Shahnawaz Qasim, IPS likely to get posting in Minorities Department

Hyderabad: CM of Telangana State, Mr. KCR has decided to take the services of an IPS officer to improve the efficiency of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare. According to authentic sources, CM consulted his advisers and officials at his farm house yesterday and reviewed the present situation of the functioning of Dept. of Minorities Welfare. He took a special note of the vacant posts in Wakf Board and the Directorate of Minorities Welfare Dept. It is understood that after consulting Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS, DGP, ACB, Mr. KCR has decided to commission the services of former SP of Khammam, Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim, IPS.

It is understood, Mr. Qasim could be appointed MD of Minorities Finance Corporation since the present MD, Mr. Shafiullah is very busy as the Secretary of Minorities Residential Schools Society. He may also be appointed as the Competent Authority of Wakf Board or Director of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare. It is understood that CM will take a final decision soon and orders would be issued in this regard.

It may be mentioned that at the instance of Election Commission, Govt. had transferred SP and Collector of Khammam District to ensure fair elections in Paleru Assembly constituency of Khammam District. After the transfer, Mr. Qasim has to wait till the completion of election process.
