Mumbai, November 12: Katrina Kaif is spoilt for choice! After Akshay Kumar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ranbir Kapoor and not to forget her keen to please beau Salman, it’s Shahid Kapur who has joined her long list of hot-shot male admirers. Vying to romance the actress on-screen, the actor is pushing his father Pankaj Kapur to cast the dazzling lass in his first directorial venture ‘Mausam.’
Even though Pankaj Kapur wrote the film keeping Kareena in mind, Shahid is adamant on getting Katrina on board. Averse to sharing screen-space with his ex-lover Bebo, the dishy actor is making a strong case for Katrina even as his father is opposed to the idea.
Talking about Shahid’s sudden obsession with Katrina, a source said, “After working with A-list actresses such as Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif is the next actress on Shahid`s wishlist. He thinks Katrina is extremely talented and would love to work with her in a film. His father`s movie is a love story and Shasha (Shahid) finds Katrina apt for the role.”
However Pankaj has his doubts. The director, who has been very touchy about his maiden directorial venture, feels strongly about casting a fresh face. “Shahid has spoken to his dad Pankaj recommending Katrina for the film. But, Pankaj is keen to cast a young fresh face for the film. A nationwide hunt is on for the film”, adds the source
