Shahi Masjid, Public Garden gets a facelift

Hyderabad, July 27: State government, before the onset of Ramadan, has sanctioned Rs 1 lakh 33 thousand for renovation and painting of Shahi Masjid, Public Garden. Secretary Minority Welfare Mohammad Ali Raffath issued a GO. RT 179 in this connection on Tuesday. District Minority Welfare Officer Hyderabad had proposed the government to release 1 lakh 33 thousand rupees for interior and exterior renovation of Shahi masjid, Public Garden. Accepting the proposal the government sanctioned the amount. The work will be completed before the onset of Holy Ramadan. The government has agreed to release half of the sanctioned amount i.e. 66500 and make advance deposit the in favour of Executive engineer R and B. The remaining half payment will be made after the completion of work. GO stated that the amount will be spent from the amount issued by the government for Makkah masjid and Shahi masjid. It must be noted that, following the sanction by the government, renovation and painting work is in full swing at the historical Makkah masjid.
