New Delhi: Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari called on Chairman National Minority Commission Syed Ghayurul Hasan Rizvi on the issue of arrests of innocents following Kasganj riots. He demanded that the real culprits should not be spared but at the same time, innocents’ arrest is unacceptable. NMC Chairman assured that justice would be done to the innocents. He informed that the UP government has sought detailed report within 5 days, as soon as the report arrives proper action will be taken.
Shahi Imam told Mr Rizvi that the truth behind Kasganj violence has been exposed by the electronic media as well as social media and the whole picture is clear, hence no more innocents should be arrested. He said one-sided action is taken against Muslims. He added that the pictures and news reveal that the culprits are not Muslims then why action is taken against them.
