New Delhi: The Ruling saffron party is never ashamed of its brazen remarks on the Muslim community in India, often threatening to kill or demolish the prayer areas.
Making yet another shameful and controversial statement, BJP leader Parvesh Verma compared Shaheen Bagh protestors fighting over the unconstitutional legislation CAA with Militants, Indiatoday reported.
In an interview yesterday, the BJP MP said, “Lakhs of people gather there [Shaheen Bagh]. People of Delhi will have to think and take a decision. They will enter your houses, rape your sisters and daughters, kill them. Parvesh Verma added, There’s time today, Modi ji and Amit Shah won’t come to save you tomorrow.”
The BJP MP brazenly threatened Shaheen bagh protestors and said if BJP is voted to power in Delhi, it will only take an hour to clear off protests in Shaheen Bagh.
“This election [Delhi poll] is not a small election but that for stability and unity of the country. If a government of the Bharatiya Janata Party is formed on the February 11, then after an hour no one will be seen in Shaheen Bagh,” said West Delhi BJP MP Parvesh Verma.
Verma threatens to demolish Mosques:
“If my government is formed in Delhi, then give me only one month’s time after February 11. Will not leave any mosques built in my Lok Sabha constituency on government land will remove them all,” Parvesh Varma added.
He further alleged: “Delhi’s public knows that the fire that engulfed Kashmir a few years ago, sisters and mothers of Kashmiri Pandits were raped, after that that fire took over UP, Hyderabad, Kerala. The same fire has taken over a corner of Delhi.”
BJP gets communal, targets Shaheen bagh protestors:
Verma’s outburst is the latest in a series of brazen, provocative speeches remarks made by BJP leaders, including Union ministers Amit Shah, Giriraj Singh and Anurag Thakur, targeting the Shaheen Bagh protesters in the run-up to Delhi assembly elections.
BJP candidate Kapil Mishra was slapped with a 48 hour campaign ban after he tweeted “Pakistani rioters had encroached on the roads of Delhi”.
Earlier, Union minister Anurag Thakur had triggered controversy with his statement “traitors should be shot”, after he lashed out at anti-CAA protesters.
At the rally, Thakur had shouted “desh ke gaddaron ko” to which the crowd responded, “goli maro sa*** ko” (shoot down the traitors).
According to sources in the BJP, party leaders are set to make the protests at Shaheen Bagh a major poll plank.
“If there is polarisation, the BJP will benefit. Also, many people are unhappy with the protests at Shaheen Bagh but aren’t saying it openly. With leaders becoming more vocal even the general public will start raising this issue,” said a senior BJP leader.
