Kolkata, Oct.1 : Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Shaharyar Khan has said that he will remind prospective BCCI president Shashank Manohar about the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between India and Pakistan regarding series in December at UAE.
According to the MoU signed between the PCB and the BCCI, both countries are scheduled to play six series under the 2015-2023 Future Tours Programme, subject to clearance from the Indian Government.
Shaharyar added that he has high regard for Manohar, who is in most favour of being elected as a new president.
“I have a high regard for him .I hope when I am back in Delhi , I will be able to talk to him and congratulate him in advance because it seems it is sure that he is going to be next president and I will assure him of my cooperation .I will remind him that BCCI has signed an MOU is it going to honour it or is it going to renege on it .This is going to be basic issue,”
Manohar had served as a president of the BCCI from 2008 to 2011 before N.Srinivasan succeeded him.
The meeting to elect the new BCCI president will be held on October 4.(ANI)
