Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin to run for Pakistan’s General Elections

Peshawar: Bollywood King Khan’s paternal cousin sister Noor Jehan will be running for Pakistan’s general election from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly that is slated for July 25, PTI reported.

Noor will be contesting as an Independent candidate. Noor Jehan is Shah Rukh Khan’s paternal cousin. The family maintains close contacts with family across the border the report on Thursday said.

Jehan and her family reside in Shah Wali Qataal area, adjacent to the fabled Qissa Khwani Bazaar.

Noor Jehan had also served as Councillor earlier. “We have a political legacy attached to the family,” her brother said.

Though Jehan was earlier considered for a reserved seat for women to contest from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly by the Awami National Party (ANP), she could not make it to the contest the report added.
