Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin Noor Jehan dies in Pakistan

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s cousin Noor Jehan  residing in Peshawar, passed away on Tuesday.

Jehan’s husband, Asif Burhan, confirmed the news. Jehan, 52 was suffering from oral cancer for a long time.

Jehan and her family reside in Shah Wali Qataal area, adjacent to the fabled Qissa Khwani Bazaar.

Talking about family ties, SRK’s father and Jehan’s father were sibling.

Jehan visited the Bollywood star twice and the family maintains close contact with relatives in India.

Jehan was politically active.

She has earlier served as a district and town councillor and even filed nomination papers from PK-77 seat in Peshawar in the 2018 General Elections.

However, she withdrew her candidature at the last moment.
