Kanpur : Ahead of his Kanpur visit on July 11 BJP President Amit Shah has been portrayed in welcome hoardings as warrior brandishing bow and arrow.
In hoardings displayed at multiple locations including the one in front of the Sen college at Mall Road here, Shah has been depicted as a warrior ready with bow and arrow in his hands.
Also there have been hoardings with photo of former BJP general secretary Sanjay Joshi, terming as “wrong” the party’s indifference towards the ousted leader.
BJP district president Surendra Maithani said he is aware of such posters but has not seen them himself. He said he would get the matter investigated.
The hoarding reads slogans like ‘BJP laao pradesh bachao’ (Bring BJP save the state), ‘Chaupat kanoon vyavstha, bekhauf mafia, asurakshit patrakar'(Broken law and order, undeterred mafia, insecure journlaists).
Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the city on July 11 to review the BJP’s Mahasampark Abhiyaan (mass contact programme).
