Mumbai: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s remark over intolerance against Muslims in India has left many in the country’s political circle red-faced. BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra sharply hit out against Khan and asked Pakistan not to teach humanity to India. On the other hand AIMIM president, Asaduddin Owaisi asked Khan Sahab to learn something from India’s inclusive politics and minority rights.
Citing Naseeruddin Shah’s recent statement on rising mob violence and intolerance, Imran Khan on Saturday, took a dig at Modi government. Referring to the actor’s statement, he said, “We will show the Modi government how to treat minorities. Even in India, people are saying that minorities are not being treated as equal citizens.”
Responding to Khan’s comments Naseeruddin Shah advised Pakistan’s PM to mind his own business.
On December 20, Naseeruddin Shah in an interview had expressed concern over the recent Bulandshahr riots. Citing the incident, Shah had questioned why a cow’s death is given significance over that of a police officer.
