The Congress party leaders on Sunday criticized the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for making a ‘fake promise’, and planted saplings at the very site where he had laid foundation stones for Banjara Bhavan, Kommaram Bheem Advasi Bhavan and Babu Jagjeevanram Bhavan at Banjara Hills on December 11, 2014.
Congress senior leaders including Greater Hyderabad Congress president Danam Nagender, former MPs M. Anjan Kumar Yadav and Ravinder Naik, former MLA Marri Sashidhar Reddy, former Deputy Mayor D. Rajkumar, were among those present on the occasion.
“KCR laid the foundation stones without even verifying the ownership status of this land. He openly cheated Tribals and Dalits in the name of Bhavans despite knowing the fact that these Bhavans would never become a reality. KCR had hurt the sentiments of all communities by making fake and tall promises. He probably imagined that his lies could never be nailed,” said Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir while addressing a meeting at the site’. He said KCR did not implement other promises made with different communities. They include 12 per cent reservation for Muslims and STs, three acres land for Dalits and Tribals and adequate funds for the development of weaker sections.
