Dy. Leader of Congress in Telangana Legislative Council, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbeer demanded the Govt. to convene an All Party meeting to consider the issues like Muslims’ reservations and fees reimbursement. He told that TRS Govt. has decided to provide 12% reservation to Muslims and STs. In the first cabinet meeting a decision was taken to constitute a commission for this purpose but so far nothing has been done. He demanded the Govt. to form a commission under the Chairmanship of Retired High Court Judge. The Commission will receive representations and it will take a long time for finalizing its recommendations. The Govt. should ensure that the policy of reservations is implemented to benefit the students of this academic year. He said that the condition of producing nativity certificate since 1956 is unnecessary. In this way Govt. wants to deprive the deserving students from payment of fees.
