As the more frauds are coming on the surface in Shaadi Mubarak scheme, Police reports reveal a gang is acting who are submitting false documents to get `51,000 benefits from the government.
In a ACB raid on Friday, Police arrested a senior assistan of District Minorities Welfare Office, who reportedly indulged in certifying a fake applicant as genuine for sanctioning `51,000 under Shaadi Mubarak scheme. The ACB officials will produce the senior assistant before the court on Saturday.
The accused, Mohammed Teharuddin, is a senior assistant for the Ranga Reddy district, and works from Nampally.
In a press meet convened by the Rangareddy ACB, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), M Prabhakar said that a team of officials led by inspector Lakshmi visited various offices and verified applications that were received by government officials under Shaadi Mubarak scheme and these applicants had already obtained the amount.
“During the course of verification, Lakshmi verified the details of one Sultana Begum from Saroornagar mandal and visited the address that was mentioned in the application. It was found that the applicant was not available in the said address and that she was living in Hyderabad. Later the ACB team found that Sultana Begum never applied for Shaadi Mubarak scheme,’’ said the DSP Prabhakar.
It was found that Aadhar card photocopy, income certificate issued by Saroornagar mandal tahsildar and photos of Sultana Begum were forged and fabricated.
The filed application was taken up for verification and processing by Mohammad Taharuddin.. Taharuddin filed a false report that he had visited Sultana Begum’s residence and made verifications. The police investigated the details and arrested Taharuddin under section 13(1) D, criminal misconduct and IPC section 471.
