Hyderabad: The District Unit of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare at Nizamabad has nearly 2000 applications pending under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme. It is reported that the Dept. wants the bank account numbers of the mother of the bride.
It may be mentioned that Govt. of Telangana had issued a GO to deposit the amount in the bank account of the bride’s mother. This could not be incorporated in the application form in which many applicants had furnished only the bank account number of the bride.
