Bangalore, July 16: Counsel for Nityananda on Thursday produced before the high court a medical certificate claiming that a competent doctor had certified that the swami has physical (sexual) features of a child, and such a person cannot commit rape.
He claimed that the magistrate of a Ramanagaram court had asked Nityananda to visit Mansarovar and come back before July 21 as against the high court order giving time till July 31 with permission to visit Mansarovar and other places.
He pleaded for extending the bail period. However, the special counsel appointed by the government sought for cancelling the bail saying the accused (Nityananda and others) are intimidating witnesses violating bail conditions.
Justice K N Keshavanarayana will soon give his verdict on the petitions seeking cancellation of bail.
