Sex Swami to drag channel to court

Bangalore, March 18: Minutes after a news channel exposed Swami Nityananda’s alleged romp with Tamil actress Ranjitha, the self-proclaimed godman went into hiding

He was last seen attending the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar and is believed to be planning to return to Bangalore soon.

However, according to sources from his ashram, Nityananda will neither travel by plane or train, but will hit the road to evade a possible arrest or get noticed by fellow travellers.

Meanwhile, M Shridhar, a Chennai-based lawyer has been appointed to defend the sex swami’s case. Shridhar, who vehemently denies any wrongdoing on the swami’s part, maintained that Nityananda is innocent. Besides, in a bid to salvage the swami’s wrecked reputation, he also plans to file a defamation lawsuit against the news channel and Nityananda’s ex-driver Lenin Karupan who shot the now infamous video.

Shridhar said, “If Karupan claims that the swami has done something, why has he gone underground? What’s more, the cops are guarding him as if he’s a victim. They have provided him with more security than they would actually provide to a dreaded terrorist.” The lawyer confirmed that Nityananda is expected in the city soon.
