Dubai, June 27: Dubai Misdemeanour Court sentenced two Saudi tourists to two months in jail for having consensual sex with a 15-year-old South African girl.
MK, 27 and BS, 30, will be deported after serving their sentences, reported ‘Gulf News’.
The defendants pleaded guilty and said they were not aware thatthe victim was only 15 years old.
Earlier, the Dubai Juveniles Court convicted the girl in the case and ordered that she be deported.
A psychoanalyst at the Family and Juveniles Prosecution testified that the girl was an unstable teenager who behaves recklessly.
The teenager was with her younger brother in a hotel with her family when the defendants approached them and invited them for a drive around town.
The defendants then took the girl to a room in the hotel and committed the crime, according to court records.
Meanwhile, BS said: “She went up with us to the hotel room…She did not charge us money…We refused to allow her to sleep in our room when she asked us to allow her to do so.”
MK claimed that the teenager said she was 18.
