Jabalpur, June 28: A sex change surgery was conducted succesfully on a 30-year-old man probably for the first time in Madhya Pradesh by city-based surgeons.
A sex change operation was conducted on the man while converting him into a woman in a private hospital last week. The surgery took nearly three-and-half-hours.
”The person was a trans-sexual since childhood, means he behaved like a woman while having physical characterics of a male,” Plastic Surgeon Dr K S Sethi said.
He said the person had approached the physicians about six month back and was first given harmonal treatment.
”When changes were seen on the body of the male whose physical features started looking like a woman after the harmonal treatment, three surgeons operated on him and carried out the surgery successfully,” Dr Sethi added.
