Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah made a surprise visit to the departments functioning under his ministry and issued suitable instructions to the officials.
After attending the meeting of Hajj Committee in Hajj House, he visited A.P. Wakf Board, A.P. State Minorities Finance Corporation and Urdu Academy. He elicited information about the functioning of these offices. He inspected the record room of Wakf Board.
He told that a team of 14 Wakf Board employees is being sent to Kadapah to identify Wakf properties and point out illegal occupants of Wakf buildings. He instructed CEO of Wakf Board to complete the cleanliness arrangements of House before 30the September 2012 to facilitate Hajj pilgrims.
During his visit to Minorities Finance Corporation, the minister elicited the details from Dr. Syed Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director. He assured him that he would try to get a loan of Rs.100 crore from Central Development Corporation. A representation would be made to Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy C.M. of A.P.
The minister declared that ten thousand sewing machines would be distributed to poor women belonging to Minorities Communities.
Minorities Finance Corporation will pay fifty percent of the cost of machine (i.e. Rs.2, 500) and the remaining amount of Rs.2, 500 will be arranged as loan from the banks.
Mr. Ahemdullah also sought the details of fees reimbursement scheme for engineering students and assured that necessary steps would be taken in this regard.
He told that a letter will be sent to the Convener of the State level Banker’ Committee for convening a special meeting of the lead banks to review the implementation of Prime Minister’s 15 Point Programme to ensure the release of 12 thousand crore loans to Minorities. He also sought the details of bank-linked loans.
During his visit to Urdu Academy, he expressed his anger on the absence of some of its employees. He asked the officials to issue memo to call for their explanation. He told that he would convene a separate meeting to improve its functioning. He assured that the functioning of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare would be improved within two months.
