Several trains cancelled/diverted

Hyderabad, June 18: Several trains were cancelled or diverted today due to the derailment of a goods train between Narasaraopet and Satalur in Guntur division of South Central Railway. The authorities have cancelled the Guntur-Secunderabad Passenger (train no 406) scheduled to leave Guntur at 5:30 p.m. this evening.

According to the SCR officials, the trains which have been partially cancelled are: the Vijayawada-Yeswantpur Passenger (No 434) scheduled to leave Vijayawada at 8:50 p.m. is partially cancelled between Vijayawada and Narsaraopet; Hubli- Vijayawada Passenger (No. 304) has been partially cancelled between Narsaraopet and Vijayawada. The train will return as Vijayawada-Yeswantpur Passenger (No. 434) from ex Narsaraopet to Yeswantpur.

It will be partially cancelled between Vijayawada and Narsaraopet.

The authorities have partially cancelled the Secunderabad-Guntur Passenger (No. 523) between Donakonda and Guntur.

The train (No. 524) will return ex Donakonda to Kachiguda tomorrow but will be partially cancelled between Guntur and Donakonda on the same day. The Yeswantpur-Vijayawada Passenger (No.

433) scheduled to leave today has been partially cancelled between Nandyal and Vijayawada. The Guntur-Tirupati Passenger (No. 440) scheduled to leave Guntur tomorrow at 1 p.m., has been rescheduled to leave Guntur at 4 p.m. on the same day.

The trains which were diverted at Guntur are: the Machilipatnam-Yeswantpur Tri-weekly Express (train No 7211) which left Machilipatnam today, has been diverted to run via Guntur-Tenali-Gudur- Tirupati and Katpadi to Yeswantpur; the Howrah-Vasco Amaravati Express (No.

8047) which left from Howrah yesterday, has been diverted to run via Guntur- Nadikudi- Secunderabad-Kachiguda- Dhone-Guntakal and Bellary; and the Bhubaneshwar-Bangalore Prashanti Express (No 8463) which left Bhubaneshwar today, will be operated via Guntur-Tenali-Gudur-Tirupati and Katpadi to Bangalore.

Similarly, the trains diverted at Guntakal are: the Hubli-Vijayawada Amaravati Express (No 7226) which departed from Hubli today, will be operated via Dhone- Kachiguda-Malkajgiri-Moula Ali-Pagidipalli- Nadikudi and Guntur to Vijayawada; and the Bangalore-Bhubaneshwar Prashanti Express (No 8464) which left Bangalore today, will be run via Guntakal-Dhone-Secunderabad-Kazipet and Vijayawada to Bhubaneshwar. The passengers bound for Guntur will detrain at Vijayawada.
