Hyderabad: Visitors will now along with other tourist destinations in Hyderabad, be able to visit Seven Tombs, as the restoration work that was in progress here is completed. Though people were visiting the Tombs but with a restricted access.
The 20-acre zone of the Qutb Shahi Heritage Park was being restored under Agha Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC). Heritage Telangana and AKTC inaugurated the restored park area on Wednesday, where Advisor to State government, BV Papa Rao, Tourism Secretary Burra Venkatesham, and others were also present.
As per a report by Telangana Today, AKTC India chief executive Ratish Nanda said, conservation works on the mausoleums of Sultan Quli Qutb Shah, Subhaan Quli Qutb Shah, Jamshed Quli Qutb Shah, Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Kulsum Begum and other smaller structures have been completed.
Structural repairs, stitching of cracks, removal of inappropriate modern materials such as new concrete, restoration of authentic lime mortar as used by the 16th-century builders were used as a part of the restoration work.
