Agra, June 19: At least seven people were killed in road accident that took place near Meethepur village under Karhal police station of Mainpuri district of Agra Range.
The accident between tractor and DCM tanker took place at about 6 am on Saturday when those in tractor were returning after attending marriage function.
Sources at Superintendent of Police (SP) Mainpuri office informed “Seven were killed on spot and many others were injured in road accident near village Meethepur under Karhal police station. Those injured have been shifted to Safai PGI. Senior authorities will visit the location soon.
Angry villagers stopped traffic and situation was tense on highway when reports last came on Saturday morning. Some of the injured were also shifted to District hospital in Mainpuri.
