Shajapur: Seven persons of a marriage party including a newly-wed couple were killed today and another one seriously injured when their car collided with a speeding truck on Agra-Mumbai road, police said.
The accident took place near Tonk police post about 35 kms from here killing a newly wed couple, two kids, a woman and the car driver on the spot, Tonk Police post in-charge, Mahipal Singh Rajawat said.
The deceased were identified as newly-wed couple Dinesh (25) and Rupa (22), Paras (30), Radha (17), Manju (30) Jyoti (07) and Saloni (10), Tonk Police Post In-charge Rajawat said.
The victims hail from Madana village in Shajapur district. They were returning to their native after the marriage function at Tillor Khurd village in Indore district, police said adding a case has been registered in this regard.
