Sleuths of Malkajgiri Zone raided a house belonging to one Krishna Mohan, who indulged in illegal circulation of Turkey currency and apprehended seven accused. They also seized 198 Turkey “Lira Currency” notes worth about Rs 10 crore and seven cell phones from their possession.
The accused were identified as Thothed Roop Chand, 33, of Vijayawada, Pedapudi Satya Kumar, 34, of Dowaleshwaram, Kondaveeti Ranjeeth Kumar, 34, of of School Road, Vijayawada, Tamani Srinivas Rao, 30, of Budalapallem, Bandar mandal, Krishna district, Vada Krishna Mohan, 53, of Jyothi Nagar, North Lalaguda, Hanumanpet, Secunderabad, Udi Veera Venkat Subramanyam, 50, Ashrama Street Rajamandry and Chintakuntla Venkata Chalapathi Reddy, 55, of South Lalaguda, Secunderabad. However, one Anil Kumar of Khammam district is absconding.
On a tip off, the raid was conducted by N.Ch. Ranga Swamy, Inspector of Police, A. Ramulu, Sub-Inspector and others under the direct supervision of C.V. Anand, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad. (NSS)
