Set up Offices in Amaravati: CM to Indian CEOs

Delivering special remarks to the Indian Community ahead of the World Economic Forum Annual Summit, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu invited Indian Company CEOs to set up their offices in Amaravati. He was invited as the Chief Guest for the event.

“We are working towards building the most liveable city. Working with us will help increase your productivity,” he said. He also explained his vision to build one of the best, blue and green cities in the world.

Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Auto, Vishal Sikka CEO, Infosys, Sunil Mittal Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Piramal Enterprises Ltd, Suzlon Tulsi Tanti, Chairman, Suzlon were among the 100 CEOs who attended the event.

Given that India holds a greater advantage of demographic dividend over other ageing economies, he suggested the members to take advantage of the Young India towards making India a global economic powerhouse. The Chief Minister said that India is progressing rapidly and that Andhra Pradesh has become a favourite destination for investments.

The Chief Minister also explained the advantage of AP having a long coastline and stated that it can be led by port-based development. This, he said, puts AP at an advantage of becoming the logistics hub for South East Asia. He added: the tremendous success of the CII partnership summit has bolstered the state’s brand. It will soon emerge as an industrial and innovation hub.

Later, he elaborated on the state government’s innovative practices to bring in transparent governance. He explained the digitization of government services and said he wants bureaucracy to compete with the best in private sector. (INN)
